It is very essential for us as individuals to always acknowledge the most significant persons in our lives, to express to them how much we care and that there influence on our life has been heartfelt. On a number of instances we are presented with an opportunity to do this, for example on someone’s birthday, anniversary, graduations or otherwise, to express this gratitude by doing some simple deeds that emanate a powerful message of love and gratitude maybe by giving a card, a speech or other tokens or gifts. Generally we find it more convenient to pay for such things, however, sometimes making them ourselves is seen as more effective in sending a message, when our creative effort goes out in producing something worthwhile. In this way a gift will have more meaning than if it was bought. Homemade cards are also fun and easy to create, and can be done by simply putting into practice some simple directions.
Primarily you will need all the right tools and materials for creating a card. This may include; cartridge paper, glue, markers, printing paper, paper cutters and paper punch tools. All these items can be found right at home and if not can be bought in a store. There are various methods of card making; embossing, paper folding, paper piercing, stamping and pieced paper images are all used in card making. Decorations can be applied to the exterior of the card to make your card more attractive and fun. You can use a digital camera, to take pictures and print it on a piece of paper. If you have hard copy of other photographs you want to use, you can employ the color copier, to copy them and reproduce it on printing paper so it can be paste onto the cover of the card. Pictures gives off a personalized look to a card whether the photograph is of the individual you are giving it to or of an event that will educe fond moments. The best way to attach a picture is by using a spray mount.
You can use a computer, to make graphically enhanced cards to print out graphics, borders and text. For a more conventional approach, you can carve out letters and pictures from books and paste them onto the card to inscribe different designs to give your best wishes. If you want to insert extra energy to your card, you can apply glitter to add a special touch. The best type of glitter to use is those mixed with glue that is packaged in a squeeze bottle to design whatever you wish.
We can also implement some simple but effective borders and shapes to add a nice final touch with any color that provides the card with a professional look. Just cut a length of paper the size for whatever side of the card you want to put it and glue it on. You can also use stencil shapes or designs purchased from an art supply and attach it to the top of the card with magic markers using the stencil design.
Outside of card making, we can find other creative ways for saying thank you. This can be done in a public setting, where you can publicly express your thanks in front of guests and supporters; this will make the person feel very loved and appreciative. A phone call can sometimes feel a bit remot but is still a very handy way of expressing thanks, particularly when the persons you want to tell are very far away in a different country so contacting someone to orally thank them can still be a very powerful method to convey your gratitude. You can also use your phone to relay text messages.
Utilize intermediate means like the internet to send emails, instant messages or e-cards along with compositions and photographs of friends and family with a note of thanks. You can also organize an outing or a surprise party with food, friends and family as a way of devoting an occasion to someone special, this is a great way to express thanks. You can also create a home video with your very own digital camera with you and your friends all saying thanks. This can be sent either on a disc or via emails. Making a thank you letter may be conventional but it can still have a very huge impact on the receiver.
