The Drama Program At The Young Actors Camp

Young Actors Camp, which is also known as YAC, is a premier summer acting program that is put on by the Inspire Me Corporation. This program was ranked in the top five best summer camps to go to. All are encouraged to attend, especially if they are involved in a drama program at their school. Actors of all talent range are invited to attend because the camp caters to everyone. YAC educates those who are preparing for the acting business, it introduces the young actor to the camera and makes everything they do fun. Many actors who have been involved in this camp end up moving to Los Angeles to pursue their dreams.

YAC offers a variety of camps at different times in the summer and for different ages, there is also a class that is offered for the parents. The majority of the camps are for ages 7 to 17 and they have one camp each week with some special ones in between. The first week is two programs combined into one and is for anyone who loves the drama program. The first part of the program is like any acting program and real actors stop by as well. The second part is only for ages 12 to 17 and is inspired from the TV show Glee. At the end of the camp they actually put on a show that includes singing and dancing just like in the show.

The second week is a drama program called The Pre-Professional Program and it is an invitation only program. This program is where beginners prep they resume and get ready for Hollywood. Week three is a program that is also by invitation only and is a casting call to be in an actual movie. This means that there are scripts, lines to remember and actual casting directors.

The Young Actors Camp also offers a class for the parents whose children are in this drama program. It is open to all of the parents and talks about when the right time is to hire an agent, how to handle the child’s money and how to cope with a child moving. The last camp that is offered is for those that are 18 years old or older and is more of a mentor program than a camp. This course helps those who want to move to Hollywood get ready for the big move. There is staff available to help the students get more acquainted with the city. This is a great program that is for any student who is passionate about acting.
